signed 'A. Rodin' (on the right side); inscribed with foundry mark 'Alexis. Rudier Fondeur. Paris' (on the back); with raised signature 'A Rodin' (to the interior)
bronze with dark brown patina
Height: 6 5/8 in. (16.8 cm.)
Conceived in 1892; this reduction in 1918; this bronze version cast between 1918 and 1927
