A testament to the skills of Patek Philippe’s rare handicrafts division, this splendid automatic white gold reference 5089-029 successfully captures the majesty of the world’s highest mountain – Mount Everest, and recalls some of man’s greatest endeavours as well as the spiritual and eternal beauty of the Himalayas. One of a limited edition of ten sets of four watches named “Enchanted Mountains” with handmade cloisonné enamel dials that include; Mount Fuji; Mount Everest; The Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.
As part of the exceptional Champion Collection, the present watch is offered in pristine like new condition with the full set of accessories. An undoubted exclusive trophy for those who appreciate the breathtaking artistic skills of Patek Philippe’s rare handicrafts department.
The stunning ‘Enchanted Mountains’ series features cloisonné enamel dials that are true unique works of art, each varying slightly from the next due to their handmade nature. The dials each required between 15 and 28 enamel colours, and between 12 and 20 firings around 800°C. The platinum case has a diameter of 38.6 mm. and houses the famous Patek Philippe caliber 240 automatic movement.
