The extraordinary Melchior robot clock was one of the MB&F's 10th Anniversary Pieces under the theme ‘A creative adult is a child who survived’ - the model was limited to 99 pieces only.
The Melchior is an impressive kinetic robot which reminds collectors of our childhood dreams. The robot is an highly unusual and sophisticated creature, composed of 480 parts and weights over 6 kilograms. The movement is provided by the renowned high-end clock manufacturer L'Epée and displays a "slow" jumping hour and sweeping minutes, 40-days power reserve and a double retrograde seconds.
