The Richard Lange Watch line aims to bring the highest precision and best possible legibility in a watch, and what separates the Richard Lange watch to other Lange watches is the use of superb materials and the perfected movements.
Richard Lange “Pour le Mérite”
The present watch features the technical hallmark of the Richard Lange “Pour le Mérite”, fusée-and-chain transmission, visible through the sapphire-crystal caseback. The fusée-and-chain transmission is one of the most effective complications in increasing the rate accuracy of a mechanical watch.
Lange Enamel Dial
The Lange Enamel dial, adapted from Lange’s pocket watches accentuates the classic design, made to build on the lineage of the origins of watchmaking to the present day. The Lange enameling process is broken into 7 steps and nowadays, very few experts are skilled in this process and hence is rarely found in wristwatches.
To the best of our knowledge, this is the first time the platinum model of this reference is appearing at Christie’s auction.
