19TH CENTURY AND LATER, AFTER A DESIGN BY THOMAS CHIPPENDALE
The leather-lined eared rectangular top above a paneled frieze carved with gothic tracery with eight drawers and four false drawers, on four pedestals each carved to two sides with gothic roundels and foliage to the corners, two pedestals enclosing three graduated drawers with one shelf, each side with a foliate-carved kneehole recess with replaced arches, the locks in the drawers later stamped GR Patent, with printed and inscribed Ann and Gordon Getty Collection inventory label, previously white-painted, with subsequent restorations and replacements
31 1/2 in. (80 cm.) high, 80 in. (203.2 cm.) wide, 69 in. (175.3 cm.) deep
