LINKWOOD
Built in Elgin, Speyside, by Peter Brown in 1821, Linkwood took its name from the fact that it adjoins a huge woodland. Linkwood has always been one of the favourite malts of blenders, including White Horse, Haig, Dimple, Abbott’s Choice and Bell’s, where it was used to increase complexity and depth.
A fresh grassy and floral aroma is the result of clear wort and longer fermentation at Linkwood. This Rare Malts release from 1972 offers a scent of roses and a nutty taste with a creamy texture and a citrus lifted finish.
