A. Lange & Söhne introduced the Langematik Gangreserve for Wempe in 2005. The special edition was launched for the 100th year celebrations of Wempe’s Chronometre manufacture in Glashütte. Lange introduced Langematik Gangreserve in platinum (100 pieces), pink gold (25 pieces) and yellow gold (10 pieces). Whereas the pink gold edition was produced in 25 pieces solely for Wempe’s NY Store, which at the time was celebrating its 25 anniversary.
The movement is fitted with Lange's patented zero-reset mechanism which simplifies the synchronisation of the watch with a time signal. When the crown is pulled, the seconds hand automatically jumps to the 12 o'clock or zero position.
