These bowls and stands were designed by legendary Tiffany designer John T. Curran, who was granted a design patent on them in 1894. A centerpiece bowl similarly pierced and chased with waves and beads which was also shown at the World's Columbian Exposition was sold at Christie's, New York, 17 May 2012, lot 79.
