Shaped oval with crimped rim, the lobed border chased with flowerheads and flower buds amongst whiplash foliage, center and one lobe of border engraved with a crest, marked on underside and coded H/QK

Gorham's Martelé archives as reproduced by Larry Pristo in Martelé Gorham's Nouveau Art Silver, 2002, p. 332, notes that Tray H/QK was competed in 19-5 (likely September) and had a net factory price of $112. The tray was raised by silversmith James Lackenby in 26 hours and chased by an unrecorded silversmith for an additional 40.5 hours.
