Painted with an oval panel with two figures in a mountainous and rocky wooded river landscape, a fortified town in the distance, within a loose cartouche of pink roses, the lower terminal with the remnants of a puce W[R] signature, the armorial hinged pewter cover with a ball thumbpiece, the interior stamped with a shield
