A WORLD-CLASS COLLECTION OF QUINTARELLI
Quintarelli is the essence of artisanal Italian winemaking. The prestigious producer from north east Italy is famed for crafting exquisite, ageworthy and refined wines. Giuseppe Quintarelli was the enigmatic driving force at the estate until his death in 2012, when his daughter Fiorenza took the reins. Using Slavonian oak for a minimum of seven years and lavishing time and energy over his bountiful Amarone was Giuseppe’s winemaking style. But he was also an innovator, crafting elegant wines from Cabernet and Merlot, alongside his Amarone. Rosso del Bepi is the estates passito wine in lesser vintages, whilst Amarone is from the stellar vintages. Amarone Riserva meanwhile has seen at least a decade of oak. Alzero is Quintarelli’s Cabernet/Merlot passito wine, at the cutting edge of modernist winemaking in the region. The estates lighter Valpolicella Classico Superiore meanwhile represent a blend of dried and fresh grapes. The Recioto is the rarest wine, being produced when the sugars in the ferment are high enough to give a heightened sense of ripeness and moreishness. This collection is amongst the best Quintarelli offerings our specialists have seen, with rare vintages and formats being presented.
