signed, numbered and stamped with foundry mark 'Barbara Hepworth 9/9' (on the back of the base)

Conceived in alabaster in 1935 and cast in bronze in 1971.
This work is recorded as BH 521.

A gift from the artist to John Williams in 1973.
His sale; Christie's, London, 21 June 2016, lot 161, where purchased by the present owner.
