Specialist note

In very good overall condition, the present example of the highly coveted reference 1680 stands out through its clean and attractive dial with red Submariner script. Nicknamed “Red-Sub” by Rolex collectors, the timepiece features attractive luminous accents that have aged to a uniform color. Adding to the appeal is the well preserved stainless steel case with strong proportions, featuring clear reference and serial numbers.
