BULGARI CORAL, LAPIS LAZULI AND DIAMOND 'STARS AND STRIPES' BRACELET

The 'Stars and Stripes' collection, or 'Star Spangled Banner' as it was known in the United Sates, was launched in the early 1970s. With Bulgari opening its first New York location in 1972, coinciding with the bicentennial of the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America, this patriotic collection was met with fanfare by jewelry collectors. Although the entire American flag is never used, Bulgari evokes the design with individual stars and stripes.
