"First vintage was the 1979. 100% Chardonnay from premier cru Le Mesnil. 1,84ha. Just about the same size as Romanée-Conti. On the nose more wood aromas at present with fine honey tone, less expressive as Pinot Noir blends which is typical for a Blanc de Blancs. Quite tight start of taste, very youthful with great balance and lingering after taste. Intense but all packed in, needs aging to show its full potential. Long distance runner.
