Note du spécialiste
The present watch impresses with its exceptionally well finished highest quality movement, superbly polished steel parts, bridges and pillar plate with an unusually elaborate pattern. It is a Le Locle Technicum ébauche, distinguished by its curved center bridge, with Auguste Grether-type 3-arm tourbillon carriage.
Auguste Grether (1817-1879) was one of the foremost tourbillon specialists of the time, the carriages with the characteristic crescents at the top and the use of the pivoted detent escapement.
