The rectangular top with foliate border, above a three open shelves and five doors between reeded pilasters, the doors and sides with lacquer panels depicting flowers, birds, pagodas and figures by a lake, on leaf-capped reeded toupie feet; together with a collection of books including sixteen volumes of Johnson's Poets, 1774, twenty-eight volumes of the complete works of Rousseau, printed in 1827, and twenty-six various other works (books sold not subject to return)
