"Karuizawa is one of the rarest and arguably the most singular malt Japan has ever produced. Today it is a” silent still”, a distillery that’s collectable, but no longer in production. Since 1956, the stills of Karuizawa crafted huge, menacing, textural whiskies, that are thick, oily and resonant.
This lot contains two bottles of whiskies distilled in 1981 and bottled in 2016, it comes with a beautiful presentation box features a painting of the Battle of Yashima which took place on March 22, 1185. This is truly a collectors’ item for both Japanese whisky and Japanese art lovers." - Fai Lo
