Lot 280 Opus One 2012-2014
A joint venture between Robert Mondavi and the late Baron Philippe de Rothschild, the first vintage was 1979 (released in 1983) and since then the winery is considered one of the best in California. The wine is a perfect demonstration of combining the expertise in Old World and New World winemaking. The blend is generally 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot. Opus One from 2010s have received rave reviews from wine collectors and critics around the globe. They are medium to full-bodied, powerful with great structure and silky tannins.
