Specialist note

This work is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the artist, dated 25 August 2006.

Writing on mannequins and solid, transparent, feminine torsos is a new way to say ancient things. I write biblical sentences and fragments --like the threats and punishments of the Book of Deuteronomy, or parts of the Song of Solomon, or poems by Borges or Breton-- with a calligraphy that strives to recreate, in writing, the relationship between the spoken word and the tone of the voice. I dress the female mannequin’s body in words or images that at times are like caresses, and at others, like biblical threats.
