About the Contemporary Art Society

The collection presented here was built over 14 years by the CEO of a distinguished international company with the curatorial assistance of Contemporary Art Society.

The Contemporary Art Society has collected outstanding contemporary art and craft for public collections in the UK for 110 years. Based in London, The Contemporary Society raises funds for this through an international network of patrons as well as a highly regarded and long-established Consultancy service.

Artist's Resale Right ("Droit de Suite"). Artist's Resale Right Regulations 2006 apply to this lot, the buyer agrees to pay us an amount equal to the resale royalty provided for in those Regulations, and we undertake to the buyer to pay such amount to the artist's collection agent. VAT rate of 20% is payable on hammer price and buyer's premium These lots have been imported from outside the EU or, if the UK has withdrawn from the EU without an agreed transition deal, from outside of the UK for sale and placed under the Temporary Admission regime. Import VAT is payable at 5% on the hammer price. VAT at 20% will be added to the buyer’s premium but will not be shown separately on our invoice.
