Specialist note

Ofuji worked at the Moto-Yanagiya. In front of her are samples of the stall's wares - a toothbrush and packet of tooth powder. The board behind her gives the name of the shop and advertises a type of scented tooth-blackening power, Genji nioi fushi, used by married women.
