NEOLITHIC PERIOD, LIANGZHU CULTURE, 3RD MILLENNIUM BC
One is a faceted awl-shaped pendant, with one end tapering to a point and the other with a small projection pierced for suspension, and is carved with a pair of raised bands above a short raised band at each corner. The other pendant is of bell shape with a flat bottom and a pierced projection at the top. Together with a buff-grey jade flattened ornament of irregular shape with central aperture drilled from one side surrounded by four smaller holes.
The larger, 1 ½ in. (4.5 cm.) high
