Each chair has sweeping crestrails that terminate in out-swept hooks and are supported by the C-shaped splat carved at the center with a ruyi-head medallion above the mat seat and carved, beaded apron and shaped spandrels. The whole is raised on legs of round section joined by stepped stretchers and a foot rest at the front.
