Dr Cannavial was a medical doctor who co-invented the Estufagem, known for his great collection of fine vintage Madeira’s. This bottle was bottled from demi john in 2016. Tasting note: Expressive rich nose of banana, Indian spices and old honey. Long cask aging concentration. The demi john aging has slowed down the process. Creamy rich taste of concentrated aromas, touch of grapefruit bitters, high extract on the finish. Very long after taste of dried peaches and furniture honey wax tone. Intense wine of very good quality. Of similar style and great concentration to a bottle I had in 2013. Last tasted February 2016. EV.
