Paul Flato designed some of the most inventive and whimsical jewelry of the 20th century. His jewels were worn and adored by Hollywood starlets including Greta Garbo, Rita Hayworth, Joan Crawford, Ginger Rogers, and Marlene Dietrich both on and off-screen. Flato’s creations were featured in a number of films and he was the first jeweler to have his name in the credits of a movie. He also appeared in several films himself.
