Supplied by Billy McCarty Circa 1970 to Gloria Rutherston, later countess Bathurst (1927-2018).

Specialist note

Gloria Rutherston (Later Countess Bathurst) commissioned the promising young interior designer, Billy McCarty to decorate her London home on Tregunter Road, Chelsea, circa 1970. The two formed a friendship which would last to the end of McCarty's tragically short life.
