Specialist note
In sealed and unworn overall condition, this reference 5711/1A-010 is offered at auction for the first time, consigned by the original owner, and is accompanied with its Certificate of Origin and box. Purchased in Nisantasi, a vibrant area renowned for having some of the most prominent luxury boutiques in Istanbul, the wristwatch represents a magnificent opportunity for collectors to acquire a perfect example of the reference 5711 in stainless steel with blue dial.
Launched in 2006, the reference 5711 pays tribute to the iconic Nautilus reference 3700 designed by Gerald Genta in 1976. Crafted with a three part case, the reference 5711 is of slightly larger thickness than the reference 3700, partly due to the sapphire display back as well as the addition of a sweep centre seconds hand. An immediate success, the reference quickly captured the passions of Patek Philippe collectors and enthusiasts becoming a must-have in contemporary collections. With an ever increasing popularity, the Nautilus collection quickly commanded important waiting lists at retailers throughout the world.
