Specialist note

The present wristwatch is in very good overall condition and bestowed with private provenance. With an unusual blue dial of rich color, it is highly elegant and can be considered a great example of this iconic model of the manufacture.

In production from 1959 to 1977, ref. 1803 is one of the archetypical Day-Date models. Powered by cal. 1555 (up to 1965) and 1556, it is defined by the ribbed bezel and the dial with stepped outer track. It was available with both leather strap and President bracelet.
