A NORTH ITALIAN GILTWOOD CONSOLE TABLE
PROBABLY GENOESE, SECOND HALF 19TH CENTURY
The canted rectangular top inset with portor marble slab within a moulded edge, above a pierced acanthus-carved frieze centred by a mask, on roaring lion and ball supports with scoll feet joined by an 'X'-shaped stretcher carved with strapwork and centred by a shell
37 in. (94 cm.) high; 73 ½ (187 cm.) wide; 35 ½ in. (90 cm.) deep
