Specialist note
This outstanding timepiece represents a fine example of a highly-jewelled wristwatch by Patek Philippe with a beautifully diamond-set bezel, dial and bracelet. Bestowed with highly appealing baguette-cut emerald hour markers of the highest quality, the timepiece is originally set with approximately 1,244 diamonds weighing a total of 7.46 carats. It would be a superbly attractive addition to any collection. To the best of our knwoledge, the watch has never been offered at auction before and is only the second example of this model to appear in public to date.
Reference 3800
Reference 3800 was in production from 1981 until 2006 and available in different versions. It pays homage to the original Nautilus reference 3700 with a similar design and aesthetic except in a smaller size case and with the addition of a centre seconds hand made possible by the introduction of cal. 335 SC.
