Specialist note

Mary Newcome Schleier met ce dessin en rapport avec une huile sur toile de même sujet conservée en collection particulière (op. cit., fig. 27) mais de composition différente. Les deux oeuvres peuvent être datées des années 1680.

Mary Newcome Schleier compares this drawing to an oil on painting of the same subject preserved in a private collection (op. cit., fig. 27) but with a different composition. The two works can be dated back to the 1680s.
