Of oval form, on four scroll feet cast as acanthus leaves with two scroll handles, similarly designed as acanthus branches, the rim of dentil design applied with a stylised border, the body engraved on one side with the Cyrillic intials 'AN' for Grand Duchess Alexandra Nikolaevna (1825-1844), and on the other with an Imperial double-headed eagle, marked under base and on handles
