Tasting note: Armenier's 1995 Chateauneuf du Pape exhibits a dark ruby/purple color, and pure, sweet aromas of cassis, black cherries, and truffles. Aromatically, it reminds me of the Chateau Fortia, which is interesting in view of the high percentage of Syrah in Fortia's blend (which is not the case with Marcoux).
