Specialist note

The present ref. 18048 is in attractive overall condition, featuring a blue degradé dial, the colour changing gradually from blue to black, enhanced by the applied diamond indices.

The original bezel with full set diamonds of ref. 18048 has been replaced in the past by the present one belonging to ref. 18248.

Introduced in 1977, reference 18000 showcased innovations within the Day-Date line. It embodied the division between models crafted with the Plexiglas crystal and the highly resistant sapphire crystal. The model was now assembled with an improved screw down crown and case back, enhancing its waterproof abilities to 100 meters. Caliber 1556 used on previous models gave way to caliber 3055 with quick-set date.
