Specialist note

The present Pre-Vendome Panerai is a beautifully preserved example of the so-called "Logo Luminor", named after the use of the distinctive "OP" logo on the dial. With its 44 mm. wide stainless steel case, it was with no doubt one of the largest timepiece offered at that time.

The “Logo Luminor” was produced in two references, 5218-209/A in a series of 10 or 12 examples, whereas reference 5218-201/A, such as the present watch, was made in a series of 677 watches in 1993
