With: 18K gold bracelet consisting of articulated gold, diamond and alternating cabochon lapis lazuli and chrysoprase-set circular links, overall length of approx. 160 mm, Extract from the Archives confirming the manufactured of the present watch with yellow gold bracelet, 100 diamonds approx. 4.42 cts, lapis lazuli cabochons and chrysoprase cabochon in 1971 and its subsequent sale on 22 December 1971.

Specialist note

This elegant bracelet watch represents a fine example of a highly jewelled wristwatch by Patek Philippe, often made by special order or for a particular event or exhibition.

Ref. 4196-1 is part of the firm's Ellipse Joallerie collection, produced around 1971. The present example is believed to be the only example of this model to have appeared in public to date.

Chrysoprase is the most valued of the chalcedony, a member of the quartz family. The translucent bluish green stone derives its colour from the presence of nickel.
