Specialist note

An iconic timepiece of the Jaeger-LeCoultre production, the celebrated "Reverso" wristwatch, the world's longest-running watch model, was originally launched in 1931. Essentially unchanged since its birth, it continues to flourish both as a modern timepiece and as one of the few original Art Deco objects still in use.

In excellent overall condition, the wristwatch is offered complete with its accessories and certificate of guarantee. Part of the collection of a meticulous European collector, the wristwatch is part of the Reverso models with complications and provides its wearer with the day, date, month indication as well as the moon phases. An obligation for Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces, the present timepiece was subject to the “1000 Hours control” test, attesting that the timepiece was observed and succeeded tests for regularity towards precision, temperature, atmospheric pressure, choc resistance, magnetic fields and is water resistant.

Part of an important collection of modern timepieces, the timepiece can be considered as one of the best kept Grand Reverso Calendar model offered at auction.
