etching, circa 1540-56, on thin laid paper, without watermark, a good impression of this very rare print, trimmed to or just inside the platemark, a short tear at the upper sheet edge, the four corners torn and repaired, with pale time staining and occasional pinpoint foxmarks
Plate & Sheet 163 x 241 mm.

A. Thomassin, his stamp recto (Lugt 184);
Ulrich Ochsenbein (1811-1890) and Alfred Ochsenbein (1883-1919), Switzerland; then by descent.
