Specialist note
Reference 3800 was in production from 1981 until 2006 and available in different versions. It pays homage to the original Nautilus reference 3700 with a similar design and aesthetic except in a smaller size case and with the addition of a centre seconds hand made possible by the introduction of cal. 335 SC.
3800/3 is a very rare variation of the 3800 family. The present example cased in gold is set with a total of 40 diamonds weighing approximately 0.97 carats on the bezel and 11 diamond hour-markers, as confirmed by the Extract from the Archives. The signature on the bottom of the dial is "O SWISS O" meaning the markers are made of gold.
