Charles Boit (Swedish, 1662-1727)

A comparable enamel by the same artist of Queen Anne, signed and dated 1712, was sold Christie’s, London, 20 November 2013, lot 152, from the collection of the late Mrs T.S. Eliot. A smaller oval variant, also fully signed, is in the Kunst Museum, Winterthur, illustrated in B. Stadler, Die Bildnisminiaturen der Sammlung Jakob Briner Winterthur, Winterthur, 1986, p. 41 fig. 7.
