ROLEX, 18K GMT-MASTER, REF. 1675

Rolex launched the GMT-Master in 1954 in order to provide pilots a watch that could read 24 hour time for a selected time zone. Following the success of this model, in 1959 Rolex introduced its successor, the reference 1675, which Rolex produced until 1980. Rolex made a few different variations of the 1675, including one in all 18k gold with brown dial and brown dial; like the present example. This watch is in all-original condition and still retains the bevels on the case. Finding gold Rolex sport watches in this condition is getting harder each day. The bracelet on this example features a larger crown than usual on the clasp to open the bracelet and is stamped, "K18 D'A" on the inside of the clasp.
