Specialist note
In producing the Emperador Tourbillon, Piaget set out to manufacture the world’s thinnest tourbillon, the calibre 600P, an entirely in-house movement. It took three years for Piaget to create this tourbillon mechanism in a movement of just 3.5.mm thick. The three bridges of the tourbillon carriage are made of titanium, a particularly resistant and lightweight material and the entire carriage barely weighs 0.2 grams.
