Specialist note

The present watch is no. 954 of the limited edition of 1970 examples of the model released in 2015. It is preserved in like new condition and sold with the full set of accessories.

In April 1970, the Omega Speedmaster rescued the Apollo 13 mission from a potential disaster, earning Omega the "Snoopy Award", the highest distinction awarded by the NASA astronauts. The "Snoopy Award" takes his name after the Apollo 10 crew had named their Lunar module after him. Snoopy was therefore chosen as the watch dog for NASA's prestigious manned flight awareness award. Still today, the silver Snoopy is presented to individuals and companies for outstanding contributions to human space flight.
