The Rolex Prince Imperial is not commonly found at auction, the present watch is an attractive and rare example of the two colour 18K gold version. Its appeal is enhanced by the original untouched beautifully preserved dial with the signature of the prestigious and rarely seen retailer Cravanzola of Roma.
The famous Italian jewellers Cravanzola was founded 1850 in Torino and moved in 1871 to Roma, the company was the court jeweller by appointment to the Italian Royal family. In 1927 the firm became official dealer of Rolex.
