When Rolex introduced the famous GMT Master II in 18k white gold at baselworld 2014, the attraction was instant. The watch is heavy as it is cased in white gold as opposed to steel, but this does not take away from its easy-wearing and sporty persona. The date change is linked to the local time thus the date window always displays the current date in the wearer's local time. The dial features improved legibility with the Chromalight hour markers and numerals and hands filed with a luminescent material emitting a long-lasting blue glow.
