Lot 1559 In 1982, to promote Chinese arts and culture, the current owner’s family organised an exhibition of modern Chinese paintings in Canada with the help of the Chinese government. With the participation of over 50 Chinese painters, the exhibition was held across Canada (Vancouver, Edmonton, Toronto and Ottawa). These paintings were also featured in the exhibition and have been with the family since. Three paintings from this collection are also available in Christie’s online sale, Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy on November 27th. (Lots 1618-1620)
