Lot 1218 FROM THE COLLECTION OF MS. MARGARET ANNE CHANG (LOTS 1217-1218)
Margaret Anne Chang (1920-2009) was born and raised in Hong Kong before moving to the United States when she was 25. When she was 40 she began to learn Chinese paintings and took lessons from Ding Yanyong in the summer of 1976 during her trip back to Hong Kong with her sister. It was also at this time when she acquired many of Ding’s paintings, many of which are dedicated to her, and these works have been with the family for over 30 years.
