Specialist note
Consigned by a private collector, to the best of our knowledge this Nautilus reference 3800/1 has never been offered in public before and is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition. Furthermore, it features the extremely sought after Tiffany signature on the dial - a true gem for the connoisseur of rare timepieces.
The reference 3800/1 was made from 1981 to 2006 and offered an alternative to larger sized “Jumbo” Nautilus watches. Considered three-quarter sized, the 3800 was made in a large array of styles in all four case metals as well as in two-tone cases. The reference 3800 is an iconic and important watch suitably sized for a man's or lady's wrist. It pays homage to the original Nautilus reference 3700 with a similar design and aesthetic and with the addition of a centre seconds hand with the introduction of the Patek Philippe caliber 335 SC.
