According to the archive of Zenith, the present watch was manufactured in 1971.

Specialist note

This reference was part of the family of the early El Primero automatic chronographs that along with the Calibre 11 movement and the Seiko reference 6139 were all introduced in 1969 as part of the first three automatic chronograph movements brought to market.
